Meet Hugo. Hugo is a 1899 Chandler & Price 10×15 “Old Style.” This ancient machine is the brawn behind this operation. In fact, we couldn’t do anything without him! Named for a character in a Jean-Paul Sartre play, we thought — with his tireless work ethic, revolutionary spirit, and the general existential nature of being — that the name Hugo would be a good match. It also helps that the name of the play, “Dirty Hands,” holds its own special meaning for printmakers!
